One Dead, Two Hurt in Cuartero Road Crash
ROXAS CITY, Capiz – One person was killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision between a pickup and an Elf truck along the national highway in Barangay Bitoon Ilaya, Cuartero, Capiz, on June 27, 2025. The fatality was identified only as Celso, 58, of Barangay Bungsuan, Dumarao, Capiz.

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – One person was killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision between a pickup and an Elf truck along the national highway in Barangay Bitoon Ilaya, Cuartero, Capiz, on June 27, 2025.
The fatality was identified only as Celso, 58, of Barangay Bungsuan, Dumarao, Capiz.
Injured were Imee, 46, also of Barangay Bungsuan, and Bobot, 46, driver of the pickup from Barangay Calapawan, Panay, Capiz.
According to the Cuartero police, the Elf truck was en route to Dumarao when it collided with the oncoming pickup driven by Bobot.
The victims were brought to Sen. Gerry Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Dao town, but Celso died while undergoing treatment.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
