Olympic female sprinter breaks Usain Bolt’s gold medal record in WAC

Olympic sprinter Allyson Felix of the United States of America just made history after clinching her 12^th gold medal at the World Athletic Championships, mixed-gender 4x400m relay team.

Felix surpassed Usain Bolt’s record of 11 gold medals, the most anyone had before Felix’s amazing 2019 WAC performance.

Felix’s is one of the most celebrated comebacks in sports history after battling preeclampsia and undergoing an emergency C-section at 32 weeks to deliver her daughter last November 2018.

Blessed and determined, the decorated track and field athlete came back to her first love and dedicated her sacrifices and her recent achievement to her daughter.

The record holder is also the first athlete to be sponsored by Athleta after her Nike contract came to an end, according to company Gap. Inc.

With all eyes on her, Felix will start her preparations for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as soon as possible.
