After months of pondering where United City FC (former Ceres-Negros FC) superstar OJ Porteria will go next, the 26-year-old striker finally broke his silence and confirmed he will be leaving the Philippines.
Porteria himself disclosed the development and will be joining Ratchaburi Mitr Phol in the Thai League 1.
“Blessed to announce that I’ve signed a three-year deal with Ratchaburi FC,” said one of the most talented strikers the Philippines Football League (PFL) has ever seen.
Before leaving his mark in the PFL, Porteria was known as a prolific scorer during his successful years with Kaya FC and Ceres-Negros FC where he would build a dynasty with Stephan Shrock and Bienvenido Marañon.
Porteria will be joining Azkals Development Team’s Mar Diano and Jarvey Gayoso in Thailand and will hope to carry the banner of the Philippines in the league 1 tournament.
“Thank you to the club for believing in me and to everyone behind the scenes for making this move possible. Let’s finish the season strong! Come on Dragons,” added Porteria.
