The ODM Sportswear squad racked up their second straight win in the Mayor Jerry P. Treñas Dinagyang Basketball Cup after crushing SBC/IDC, 82-66.
Defense has been ODM’s bread and butter and has been consistent in their two games, clogging the passing lanes and earning early steals in the opening period.
ODM started the onslaught with a scoring outburst jumping to an early 10-0 lead in the first four minutes of the game, courtesy of Miguel Sasuman’s two steals early on.
The youthful SBC/IDC then shuffled their rotation and started to inch closer after converting most of their perimeter shots.
However, the SBC/IDC run went to waste as ODM’s Inno Miclat began to erupt in the second half as he sank three straight treys to ignite his team.
After Miclat’s mini-run, the whole team then played to a whole new level as they started to play more aggressively and pummel SBC/IDC up to the fourth.
SBC/IDC just didn’t have an answer against ODM’s versatility and deep roster.
