Denver Nuggets franchise player Nikola Jokic joined elite company after starting the 2025–2026 NBA season with four consecutive triple-doubles.
On Oct. 30, 2025, the three-time NBA MVP became the third player in league history to achieve such a feat, joining Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook during Denver’s lopsided 122–88 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Despite the game already turning into a blowout in the third quarter, Jokic remained laser-focused, helping the Nuggets protect the huge advantage until the final buzzer sounded.
When everyone thought his triple-double against the Minnesota Timberwolves was already hard to surpass, Jokic shocked the fans who flocked to Ball Arena by needing only 27 minutes of playing time to record the impressive stat line.
Jokic immediately buckled down to work in the opening quarter with his offense as he schooled his former teammate, DeAndre Jordan, who is now the starting center of New Orleans.
After they were all smiles seconds before the jump ball, Jokic quickly flipped the switch and meant business when he asked for three straight isolation plays down the block.
Jordan could only scratch his head as Jokic converted all floaters, sparking the Nuggets to a waxing-hot start.
Midway through the first, the gentle giant shifted his focus to facilitating when the Pelicans decided to double him.
New Orleans chose their poison, and that was to limit Jokic’s offensive ability, but they didn’t know another storm would cloud their road trip as the trio of Jamal Murray, Christian Braun, and Tim Hardaway became the recipients of the Joker’s kick-out passes.
It was poetry in motion.
Jokic knew where Murray would cut, that Braun would flush in the left baseline, and Hardaway’s favorite spots for the catch-and-shoot.
Denver left New Orleans in the dust in the third, outscoring them 39–11, and only needed the first four minutes of the fourth to send the dub home.
Jokic capped off his historic performance with 21 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals.
Through the first four games of the season, he is averaging a triple-double of 20 points, 15.3 rebounds, and 11.7 assists.
Backstopping Jokic was the 1–2 punch of Murray and Braun, who each scored 17 markers, while Hardaway added 11 points on an efficient 4-of-6 shooting from the field.
