Nicolas Cage steps into his first leading television role in “Spider-Noir,” the new live-action Marvel series coming to Prime Video globally on May 27, 2026.
Prime Video unveiled the official trailer on April 27, ahead of the series’ rollout across more than 240 countries and territories.
Produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video, “Spider-Noir” will stream in two versions: “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color.”
The trailer had its world premiere before 2,100 fans at the Centro Banamex Convention Center in Mexico City during CCXP, billed in the release as the largest pop culture festival in the world.
Actors Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston and Karen Rodriguez joined creator, co-showrunner and executive producer Oren Uziel onstage to introduce the series.
The panel also debuted an extended scene from the show and featured a special video greeting from Cage.
Fans at the convention were also able to collect five character-inspired badges designed by Mexican artist Jorge Molina.
“Spider-Noir” is based on the Marvel comic “Spider-Man Noir,” a darker alternate take on the Spider-Man mythos tied to a crime and noir setting.
The series follows Ben Reilly, played by Cage, as a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York.
After a deeply personal tragedy, Ben is forced to confront his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.
The character has become familiar to wider audiences in part through animation, with Cage previously voicing Spider-Man Noir in “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” The Marvel Noir version of the character first appeared in comics in 2009.
The full cast includes Academy Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage of “Adaptation” and “Pig,” Emmy Award-winning actor Lamorne Morris of “Fargo” and “New Girl,” Li Jun Li of “Sinners” and “Babylon,” Abraham Popoola of “Atlas” and “Slow Horses,” Karen Rodriguez of “The Hunting Wives” and “Acapulco,” SAG Award-winning actor Jack Huston of “Boardwalk Empire” and “Day of The Fight,” and Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated actor Brendan Gleeson of “The Banshees of Inisherin” and “Harry Potter.”
The guest cast includes Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson and Kai Caster.
Emmy Award-winning director Harry Bradbeer of “Fleabag” and “Killing Eve” directed and executive produced the first two episodes.
Uziel, whose credits include “The Lost City” and “22 Jump Street,” serves as co-showrunner and executive producer with Steve Lightfoot of “Marvel’s The Punisher” and “Shantaram.”
Uziel and Lightfoot developed the series with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal, the Academy Award-winning team behind “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”
Lord and Miller executive produce through Lord Miller with Aditya Sood and Dan Shear.
Pascal also serves as an executive producer through Pascal Pictures.
Cage and Pavlina Hatoupis are also executive producers.
For Filipino viewers, “Spider-Noir” adds another superhero title to Prime Video’s lineup, which includes Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and films, licensed titles, live sports, local releases, Korean titles and anime.
Prime Video Philippines lists titles such as “Fallout,” “Reacher,” “The Boys,” “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” “John Wick,” “Challengers,” “LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines,” “Comedy Island Philippines,” “Linlang,” “Drag Den with Manila Luzon,” “Demon Slayer” and “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” among its programming.
“Spider-Noir” premieres globally on Prime Video on May 27, 2026.
