THE new head of the Iloilo City Youth and Sports Development Division, former barangay captain Rudiver Jungco, was swamped with visitors and well-wishers on his first day in office on July 1, 2019
Jungco, also the Executive Assistant for Sports of Mayor Jerry Treñas, wasted no time in carrying out his function in helping develop the city’s sports sector as he faced various concerns brought to him by his staff.
Trackster Alfrence Braza approached Jungco to seek support for his planned stint in international track and field events.
Braza, a student of Mandurriao National High School, won the gold medal in the secondary boys’ 5000-meter run in the Palarong Pambansa 2019 in Davao City.
Braza asked for Jungco’s help in releasing the funds for his training.
Without hesitation, Jungco pledged to give Braza help.
