BACOLOD CITY – The Negros Trade Fair, the country’s longest‑running provincial trade fair in Metro Manila, will mark its 39th year with a historic debut at SM Aura from September 23‑28, 2025.
This year’s theme, “Himbon”—a Hiligaynon word meaning to gather—highlights the fair’s mission of uniting communities and showcasing the diverse products of Negros, according to NTF chairperson Mary Ann Colmenares in a Tuesday press briefing at Café Uma.
Colmenares said the NTF is organized annually by the Association of Negros Producers (ANP) and has long been a vital platform for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
With the new, larger venue, she said they expect an even bigger turnout.
Before moving to SM Aura, the NTF used to be exhibited at Robinson’s Glorietta, but with the growing number of exhibitors every year, Colmenares said a bigger venue was needed.
“Having the bigger venue, we will be able to accommodate more people who want to discover what Negros has to offer,” Colmenares said.
ANP President Christina Gaston added that the fair is designed to help local entrepreneurs reach a wider market and audience.
For the first time, the event will also prominently feature exhibitors from Negros Oriental and Siquijor, following the creation of the Negros Island Region (NIR).
Colmenares also said there will be 123 booths for exhibitors, noting there is increased participation from local government units.
Their products, along with regional tourist destinations, will be showcased.
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is also participating, highlighting regional skills development programs, Colmenares said.
The provincial government of Negros Occidental has further strengthened support for the event with a PHP 5 million subsidy for ANP, underscoring the trade fair’s role in regional economic growth.
Now in its 39th year, the Negros Trade Fair continues to be a major platform for promoting authentic, sustainable, and locally rooted products while reinforcing the cultural identity and entrepreneurial spirit of the Negros region.
Also present at the press conference were Capitol PIO Charina Magallanes Tan; Joey Gaston‑Arima, Committee Head; and Kate Singsong of Donata, the Fashion Sector Head.
