BACOLOD CITY — The 39th Negros Trade Fair, held Sept. 23–28, 2025, at SMX Convention Center, SM Aura Premier, recorded PHP 54.5 million in spot sales and PHP 97 million in booked business-to-business transactions, totaling PHP 151.5 million with more than 41,000 visitors over six days, according to fair chairperson Mary Ann Colmenares.
Colmenares said that carrying the theme “Himbon,” the country’s longest-running provincial trade fair and Negros Island’s premier marketing platform delivered far-reaching economic, social, and environmental impact through the invaluable support of the provincial government of Negros Occidental, led by Gov. Eugenio “Bong” Lacson.
On the economic front, exhibitors gained breakthrough opportunities—a local food processor secured its first export order pending FDA clearance, while others signed supply deals with national distributors and began collaborations with Filipino lifestyle brand Kultura.
“These achievements reflect how the fair strengthens supply chains and opens new markets for MSMEs,” Colmenares said.
She added that 375 microenterprises assisted by the Department of Trade and Industry and local government units were given the opportunity to market test their products in Metro Manila alongside 113 small and medium enterprises, members of the Association of Negros Producers, and other Negrense-owned businesses aligned with ANP’s vision.
Colmenares said the fair also brought together Negrenses and Metro Manila audiences in a shared celebration of Negros’ rich culture and creativity.
She emphasized that the event reinforced community pride, created livelihood opportunities, and inspired future entrepreneurs.
Sustainability was a key focus, with many exhibitors highlighting eco-friendly practices and products rooted in the region’s agricultural heritage—demonstrating Negros’ commitment to responsible growth, she said.
Now in its 39th year, the Negros Trade Fair continues to highlight the resilience, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit of the Negrense people as it looks ahead to its 40th edition in 2026 at its new home in SMX Aura, with strengthened partnerships with SMX Convention Center, SM Supermalls, and their “SM for MSMEs” program, Colmenares noted.
