Team Tarag Lolek from Negros Occidental advanced to the quarterfinals after winning four streaks in the Philippine National Volleyball championship league held at the Philippine Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The team defeated Sta. Rosa, Baguio, the Philippine Army, and the University of the East Manila.
They traveled to Manila on Nov. 4 to join the competition organized by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) slated from Nov. 5 to 12.
The team led by head coach Ralph Savellano, and assistant coach Judy Rodriguez, is composed of 14 players, including four import players.
The two Negrense coaches were former volleyball players of the University of Perpetual Help, and Adamson University, respectively.
