The 2022 Little League Philippines Series National Softball Finals was recently held in Bago City, Negros Occidental with 10 cities and provinces from all over the country participating.
The games included three divisions – Majors, Juniors, and Seniors.
Negros Occidental emerged as champion in the Major division while Bago City landed is 1st runner-up Tanauan City in Batangas as 2nd runner-up.
In the Juniors division, Bago City team bagged the crown followed by Negros Occidental and Maragusan team of Davao de Oro.
The Seniors Division championship crown went to the Negros Occidental softbelles who defeated Tanauan City while Bago City ended up as 2nd runner-up.
The participating teams were Negros Occidental, Bago City, Dumaguete City, Tanauan City, Pasig City, Kalinga, Bulacan, Sarangani, Davao City and Maragusan, Davao de Oro.
Governor Eugenio “Bong” Lacson thanked the visiting softball teams and for making the province a sports tourism destination.
Provincial Sports Head Anthony Carlo Agustin thanked the provincial teams for showing tough and challenging sportsmanship attitude in all their games.
All champion teams will represent the country in the coming 2022 Asia Pacific Regional Softball Tournament to be hosted by the Philippines. (Provincial Sports Office)
