The Philippines-Asia Pacific team of Negros Occidental entered the semifinals and finished 4th in the recent Little League Girls Softball World Series Majors Division.
The girls coming from the different towns and cities of Negros Occidental pooled as one team bowed to the Virginia softbelles in their last game.
For the Filipino nation, the prestigious TEAM SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD was the least expected to be presented to the Negrense girls for their camaraderie, inter-active relation, behavior, among others.
The players and their coaches expressed their gratitude for all the inspiration that Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson gave to the team and the game of softball.
With the added support of Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz and Head of Sports Anthony Carlo Agustin, the teams are buoyed for the 2023 national games.
