With the National Basketball Training Center league taking shape in the Western Visayas for the national qualifiers, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental also started their eliminations together with Antique.
NBTC area head for Western Visayas, Dr. Richard Gabayoyo, stated that the series of eliminations for the NBTC will now start simultaneously until January.
NBTC-San Carlos features six teams who will compete in grueling elimination matches for the national qualifier spot.
Although one of the fewest entries in the NBTC, San Carlos vows to bring Western Visayas the toughest of challenges.
Tañon College, Julio Ledesma National High school, Don Carlos NHS, Bagonbon NHS, Colegio de San Rita, and Calatrava NHS are the six participating teams in the tourney.
In the first round of eliminations, JLNHS edged DCNHS, 79-71, behind Felix Unabia’s 25 big points that garnered him the best player of the game.
NBTC-San Carlos is brought to you by Chooks to Go, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), Go for Gold, Molten, Vivo, Smart, Cignal, Darlington, Exped, and ESPN 5.
