HERCOR College Junior Jaguars is one way away from the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC)-Capiz crown.
The Roxas City-based team drew first blood in the finals after defeating Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion, 97-80, at the Dayao Gym in Roxas City, Feb. 2.
Raffy Arguelles who exploded with 22 points led Hercor. Janwell Famaranco contributed 16 baskets.
The two powerhouse teams are also both qualified to the regionals and will play against the qualifiers from Iloilo, Antique and Guimaras for a slot in the National Finals in Manila this summer.
