NBA: Houston remains unbeaten, blasts Milwaukee by 32 points
By Leobert Julian A. de la Peña

The Houston Rockets continued their perfect start to the 2026-27 NBA regular season after torching the Milwaukee Bucks, 132-100, on Oct. 28, 2026 (Oct. 29, Philippine time), at Fiserv Forum.
After a convincing home win against the Atlanta Hawks, the Rockets kicked off their two-game road trip with a dominant victory over the Bucks, extending their undefeated record to 5-0.
Houston’s balanced two-way attack became the name of the game as six of its players scored in double digits, led by Fred VanVleet, who delivered an all-around performance of 24 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
The returning floor general helped Houston take control in the second quarter, turning a slim two-point lead into a commanding 22-point advantage at halftime, 57-35.
VanVleet buried four 3-pointers in the game, including a crucial shot late in the first half, before catching fire in the third quarter with 15 consecutive points that helped Houston maintain control of the game’s pace.
As Durant connected on perimeter shots and Thompson attacked Milwaukee’s interior defense, the Rockets’ offense continued to flow, taking advantage of the Bucks’ delayed defensive responses in the second half.
Houston’s relentless offensive attack ballooned its lead to as many as 35 points in the fourth quarter, prompting Milwaukee head coach Taylor Jenkins to turn to his reserves with the outcome virtually decided.
Even Houston’s bench outplayed Milwaukee’s reserves as veteran sharpshooter Bogdan Bogdanovic and steady frontcourt anchor Clint Capela helped the Rockets protect their commanding advantage.
Aside from VanVleet, Thompson also filled the stat sheet with 23 points, four rebounds, three assists, and one steal, while Durant added 18 points on an efficient 5-of-9 shooting alongside five rebounds, four assists, and three blocks.
Spearheading Houston’s bench surge was Bogdanovic, who tallied 16 points in just 15 minutes, backed by Capela’s near double-double of 10 points, eight rebounds, three steals, and two blocks.
Houston will seek its sixth consecutive win against the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 31 (Philippine time) before facing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 1, while Milwaukee looks to regroup against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Nov. 1.
