The Boston Celtics scored a massive wire-to-wire victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, 108-81, to extend their winning streak to three consecutive games in the ongoing NBA regular season on March 3, 2026.
Fresh off back-to-back blowout wins against Philadelphia and Brooklyn, the Celtics never lost a step and took care of business on the road, in front of 15,992 fans present at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
Unlike a shaky start in their past win against the 76ers, the Celtics immediately waxed hot from the field and led by 10 points, 30-20, after the first 12 minutes of action.
Reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year Payton Pritchard led the late Boston rally, dropping eight of the Celtics’ final 13 points to end the opening quarter on a high note.
Pritchard bounced back from a scoreless outing against the 76ers, letting it all out against Milwaukee, who was just unstoppable every time he waved off the double screen action to take the opponent’s big man in an isolation island.
The series of mismatches was taken advantage of by the star backup guard and allowed Derrick White to spend more time on the bench due to his consistent impact inside the hardwood.
Unfortunately for Milwaukee, Boston’s Hugo Gonzales caught fire when Pritchard took a breather, launching two consecutive 3-pointers to help Boston clinch a double-digit cushion heading into the second half.
The Bucks tried to break Boston’s momentum by deploying an unconventional 1-3-1 zone, but that move only allowed more paint touches for the Celtics as they wisely ran their offense through Nikola Vucevic, who stood at the top of the key that opened up both blocks.
All hell broke loose when the Celtics mounted their largest lead of the ball game to 31 points midway through the fourth quarter, leaning on the 1-2 punch of Gonzales and Pritchard.
Despite the return of Giannis Antetokounmpo after a three-week absence due to a right calf strain, Milwaukee still failed to gain ground and could only watch the red-hot Celtics torch them from downtown.
Pritchard led the Boston assault with a game-high 25-point performance built from five 3-pointers, alongside nine assists, four rebounds, and a steal.
Meanwhile, Gonzales capped off the win with his best scoring performance as a member of the Celtics, chipping in a massive double-double outing of 18 markers, 16 boards, three steals, and two blocks.
On the other hand, Antetokounmpo looked solid in his return, delivering 19 points and 11 rebounds in just 25 minutes of action for the Bucks.
