NBA: Boston annihilates Chicago by 35 points
By Leobert Julian A. de la Peña

The Boston Celtics put on a show in front of their loyal fans at TD Garden following a lopsided demolition of the Chicago Bulls, 134-99, in the ongoing NBA regular season on Oct. 27, 2026.
Boston pulled off its most convincing win of the season so far, manhandling the struggling Bulls by 35 points, led by former NBA Sixth Man of the Year Payton Pritchard, who went nuclear during the Celtics’ demoralizing third-quarter surge.
After Chicago slowly chipped things away in the second quarter, Pritchard spearheaded a massive Boston run in the third frame, detonating five 3-pointers to enter the final canto with a 30-point advantage.
The Celtics immediately shut the door on Chicago after leading by as much as 16 points in the first quarter, but the Bulls managed to equalize Boston’s two-way efficiency after exploding for 33 points in the ensuing period.
Boston then sent the early exclamation point after going berserk at the start of the half, led by Pritchard, who torched the Bulls with a streak of downtown heaves that sucked the life out of Chicago.
Aside from his efficient 3-point shooting, Pritchard also broke Chicago’s zone defense by picking mismatches off cross-screens from the right elbow.
Pritchard then attacked the gap, navigated his options, and scored on wide-open lanes while dishing out pocket passes to the rolling center whenever Chicago decided to blitz him in the paint.
Unfortunately for the Bulls, their cold shooting at the start of the fourth quarter rewarded Boston with several fast-break opportunities and never trimmed their deficit to a single digit.
Jayson Tatum led the charge in the first half, anchoring Boston’s explosive offensive start backstopped by Paul George’s relentlessness in attacking Chicago’s interior.
Pritchard stole the show with 28 points on an efficient 10-of-16 shooting off the bench, alongside 7-of-10 from downtown, four assists, and two steals.
Tatum picked up where he left off after a cold-blooded performance in their win against the New York Knicks, delivering a near triple-double outing of 23 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, while George chipped in 16 points, five boards, and two dimes.
On the other hand, the loss continued Chicago’s early-season woes as the Eastern Conference squad dropped to 1-3 in the standings.
The Celtics will look to rack up their third consecutive win today against the Brooklyn Nets, while the Bulls aim to end their skid on Oct. 29 against New York.
