The recently concluded 2019 Iloilo Schools Sports Council Meet Taekwondo event became a showcase of talent from the nationally renowned Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) gym jins, as they collected a total of 23 gold medals.
Fresh from the appointment of some of their jins to be part of the 2019-2020 Philippine National team practice pool, the MVP athletes continued to roll and show their dominance in the ISSC Meet.
Also, aside from the 23 gold medals they earned, they garnered 8 silvers and 5 bronze medals that ran up their tally to 36 medals in total.
The MVP coaches/trainers that guided the jins were Sir Janjan Gersanib, Sir Melcris Villarin, and Sir Diego Garcia.
For the Poomsae event coaches, coach Roices, coach Jilyn, and coach Joshua were the ones who sought the jins and handled their mini-preparation before the start.
The jins will again banner the province of Iloilo for the 2020 Regional meet and will try to maintain their Palarong Pambansa qualification.
