The Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) jins made waves in the recently concluded 2020 National CPJ Taekwondo Championships held in the Mall of Asia, Metro Manila.
As one of Iloilo’s representatives, the Ilonggo jins were able to notch five medals in the highly-competitive national tourney.
The two-day tournament featured all the best taekwondo athletes from the different gyms across the country where they train to try and win the prestigious title in various categories.
Cyd Edryc Esmaña clinched the gold medal in the Individual Cadet Blackbelt Poomsae out of 52 Blackbelters.
In the Elementary Blackbelt Kyorugi event, Sheine Nicole De Asis reigned supreme and delivered another gold medal for Iloilo.
In the same category, Samantha Gayle Go bagged the silver medal and fell short by only a slight difference from the gold medal.
During the Cadet Blackbelt Kyorugi event, Sophia Grace Go managed to get a silver medal against the best Cadet Blackbelts of the country.
Lastly, Angela Joy Marie Bermejo, gave the last medal for Iloilo after being awarded a bronze medal in the Junior Female Blackbelt.
