The Iloilo Provincial Government has been exerting efforts to implement the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) as expressed under Republic Act No. 11285 otherwise known as the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act, which is an act institutionalizing energy efficiency and conservation, enhancing the efficient use of energy, and granting incentives to EE&C Projects.
Pursuant to Administrative Order No. 15 “Directing the Accelerated Implementation of the Government Energy Management Program”, the Province of Iloilo in partnership with DOE, USAID, and CPU conducted a Municipal GEMP Rollout .

The event was held on February 29 2024 at the Grand Social Hall, Casa Real, Iloilo Provincial Capitol Iloilo City and was attended by Municipal EEC Officers and representatives form the MPDC and MENRO.
The activity was spearheaded by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) Desk under Atty. Cersar Emmanuelle P. Buyco, Jr. (PGENRO – EEC Officer) and Rey Victor P. Garin (EEC Focal) supported by Board Member Rolando “Rolly” Distura as the Energy Champion of the Province.
