THE Iloilo United Royals will look to bounce back after losing to Cebu Sharks by just a single point in the 2019 MPBL Lakan Cup last July 15, 2019.
Coach Eric Gonzales said they will buckle up and regroup after successive neck and neck games against Nueva Ecija and Cebu.
A total melt down in the assist department was a big hindrance for Iloilo’s performance against the Sharks.
In the win against Nueva Ecija, Iloilo produced 27 assists, while in their defeat against Cebu, they were held to just 17, a 10-assist differential.
The United Royals are bound to face the fifth seed in their division, General Santos Warriors who are rolling hot right now after winning two consecutive games.
If Iloilo wins, they would climb up the standings, 4-2, and GenSan will slide down to 4-3.
Both teams will ball it out on July 20, 2019, at Imus Sports Complex.
