MANNY Pacquiao Promotions (MP) is giving rising Filipino boxers opportunities in the sport.
As soon as Sean Gibbons took over as MP Promotions president, it was with clear intentions that he and Senator Manny Pacquiao want other Filipino pugs to soar higher in the world of boxing.
MP Promotions is now giving Filipinos a shot at world titles in their home towns rather than seek glory abroad.
Johnriel Casimero, the defending International Boxing Federation bantamweight champion, will defend his belt against Mexican Cesar Ramirez at the San Andres Complex in Manila on Aug 24, 2019.
Filipinos Samuel Salva and Pedro Taduran will trade blows on Sept 7 for the IBF minimumweight title vacated by South African Deejay Kriel. The match will take place at the Philippine Navy Base in Taguig City.
Although Jerwin Ancajas will fight abroad to defend his IBF super flyweight title this October, Filipinos right now are being given title fights in almost every division.
If these fighters notch wins in their respective clashes, bigger and better opportunities are waiting for them not only from MP Promotions but in the boxing world.
