ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Pres. Roxas police arrested Wednesday noon the number one “most wanted person” in the town.
Jorge Punzalan Blanco, 52, of Sitio Campo Brgy. Poblacion, President Roxas, Capiz did not resist when the police served the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Faustino Roxas Jr. of Regional Trial Court Branch 14 in Roxas City on August 3, 2022.
The court recommended P120,000 bail for the charge of rape by sexual assault under Article 266-A, par.2 as amended by Republic Act 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997); and P200,000 for violation of Sec. 5(B) Art. III of RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
Police Capt. Alfred de Leon, Pres. Roxas police chief, said that the successful operation materialized through the help of their informant.
