After the tennis equipment and windbreakers from good Samaritans, the Iloilo City Sports Academy got another boost from MORE Electric and Power Corp.
The initiative of coach Jonelle Llavore of team Iloilo Sports Academy in tennis paid off after MORE Power promised to donate two sets of umpire chairs.
These special umpire chairs have distinct specifications for tennis and will provide Ilonggo umpires a more comfortable and convenient posts when handling the tennis tournaments in Iloilo City.
Since its return from a four-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Executive Assistant for Sports Mr. Rudiver Jungco Sr. and the Iloilo City Sports Development Division team had been hands-on regarding the athletes’ needs.
Coaches Alven Santiago and Alquinn Flores of the Iloilo Sports Academy tennis team also had their share of contributions to the program.
Santiago’s initiative added to the program’s supply of tennis rackets and other equipment to be used by the kids.
Flores headed the acquisition of the two sets of 25-meter windbreakers to serve as barrier from the wind and sunlight in LaPaz tennis court where the training is held.
