Miami accidentally leaks LeBron James introductory press conference video

Miami Heat nation, you need to cool down for a second.

On July 22, 2026, the Miami Heat’s social media department went viral after mistakenly uploading a video titled “LeBron James Introductory Press Conference” to its official YouTube channel.

The video was scheduled to appear on July 27, 2026, but the social media team quickly took down the post and clarified the situation in a statement.

According to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, a Heat spokesperson confirmed that the video was only a preparatory post in case James decides to rejoin his former team.

Chiang added that there is no validity to the video right now, but it was clear that Miami President Pat Riley had joined the list of interested teams actively pursuing James’ services for the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season.

During Giannis Antetokounmpo’s introductory ceremony, Riley said: “We landed the plane. Now, there’s another one we have to land.”

Riley’s words hinted at a possible reunion with James, with whom he won two NBA championships in 2012 and 2013.

It was also in Miami where James reached another level of his prime, winning two NBA MVP awards, two NBA Finals MVP awards, and four All-NBA First Team selections.

“This is a man’s decision,” Riley said.

“I have nothing, as I think probably everybody else that had an opportunity to talk with him are just sort of waiting.”

Aside from the Heat, the Philadelphia 76ers have also emerged as one of the top destinations for the NBA icon.

The 76ers publicly pitched their plan to acquire James through Bob Myers, president of sports for Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, the ownership group that manages Philadelphia.

In an episode of the Game Over Podcast with renowned sports analyst Max Kellerman, Myers made a surprise appearance and delivered bold statements about James.

“I’d say, and I honestly believe, that this is your best chance to win,” Myers said.
