Free agency started with a bang with big names in the league already traded, re-signed, and some were waived.
Many were shocked with the fast-paced decision making of some organizations, with the Lakers landing All Star Center in Anthony Davis in exchange for the Lakers’ young core and future first round picks. The team is also eyeing 2019 NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard to their prized organization.
With all these names surrounding the free agency fever, former All Star and NBA scoring champion, Carmelo “Melo” Anthony, is at the bottom of the trade market.
Melo, after playing few games with the Houston Rockets, was waived mid-season without a single NBA team signing him.
On the contrary, videos of Melo working on his game and practicing with Chris Paul and other NBA players went viral.
Drastic statistical meltdown plagued Melo’s NBA stint, with a career low of 13 points per game in the 2018-2019 season.
