Megaworld Corporation is expanding its retail and commercial portfolio by more than 30,000 square meters of leasable space in 2025.
The additional space will come from new developments in McKinley West in Taguig, Makati, Alabang West in Las Piñas City, and Boracay Newcoast in Aklan.
These projects are part of Megaworld’s broader strategy to achieve one million square meters of gross leasable area by 2030.
At McKinley West, the company is launching The Shoppes at Park McKinley West, a two-story retail center integrated into the Park McKinley West residential complex.
This retail hub will showcase a curated lineup of global and local brands, including Ogawa Traditional Japanese Restaurant, Tartufo, Royal Indian Curry House, One World Deli, George & Onnie’s, Café 17, Nightshade Cocktails & Bar, Hanamaruken, and Yakinuku Sudaku.
A new lifestyle mall will also rise at Vion Tower on EDSA corner Chino Roces Avenue in Makati.
In southern Metro Manila, Alabang West will welcome expanded retail offerings within the township.
Meanwhile, in Aklan, the Newcoast Beachwalk at Boracay Newcoast will bring a dynamic mix of dining, retail, and service establishments for tourists on the island.
“We are growing our leasing business by bringing our signature lifestyle mall concept to more locations while introducing new experiences that resonate with today’s consumers,” said Graham Coates, head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls.
“This approach allows us to drive sustained growth for Megaworld and, at the same time, enhance the value of our townships nationwide,” Coates added.
For the first half of 2025, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls reported leasing revenues of PHP 3.33 billion (USD 58.46 million), a 10% increase year-on-year.
The revenue boost was driven by increased foot traffic and rising demand from premium retail tenants.
Earlier in 2025, Megaworld also expanded its Lucky Chinatown development in Binondo, Manila, with the opening of the Imperial Wing, bringing the total gross leasable area to 36,000 square meters.
The company’s ongoing expansion reflects confidence in the continued recovery of retail activity across major urban centers and tourist destinations.
