With their passion and goal of lifting the confidence of the young hoopers through basketball, the Maricel Diaz Clemente (MDC) Sports Inc. organized a 15 and 12 under tourney in Roxas City.
Commissioner Tobee Diaz De Leon’s unending support to the basketball community led her to different places in the Philippines just to conduct camps for the youngsters and this time, the MDC group started their first 15 and 12 under tournament Season 1 in Roxas.
For the 12 under category, the Capiz Commercial School defied all odds and took down all the powerhouse teams to clinch the championship title while the Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz (SMAC) fell short and notched first-runner up.
Meanwhile, the boys from SMAC dismantled and took down the powerhouse Hercor Jaguars for the 15 under category with one of only a few teams who defeated the Jaguars so far.
The winners will represent Roxas City in the Regional finals at Ibajay, Aklan, third week of March 2020.
