One of the mainstays and team stabilizers in the Alyssa Valdez era has finally made her decision to play her final year of eligibility for the Ateneo Lady Eagles
Jho Maraguinot is back in the UAAP, spikers.
Hoping to lead the young and hungry Ateneo squad, Maraguinot will be backing up Kat Tolentino with her veteran smarts and experience.
Bidding goodbye after coach Tai Bundit’s stint with the Lady Eagles, she swam the waters of the pro league Philippine Superliga and got drafted by the Sta. Lucia Realtors.
The exit of the Lady Eagles’ twin towers in Bea de Leon and Maddie Madayag left big shoes to fill for the winning squad but Maraguinot’s addition provides a silver lining for the team.
“One thing I’m holding on to is the trust the people around me is giving me. They really believe that I can still do it. Iyon ‘yung nag-booboost ng confidence ko,” Maraguinot said.
