Man wanted for child abuse arrested

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 31-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon for alleged violation of Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004) at Barangay Matinabus, Sigma, Capiz.

Reneboy Reyes Calmerin of said place did not resist when the Sigma Municipal Police Station, Iloilo City Mobile Force Company, and Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) served against him a warrant of arrest for the said case.

Judge Juana Judita P. Panigbatan-Nafarrete of the Iloilo Regional Trial Court Branch 30 in Iloilo City issued the warrant on Feb 23, 2017.

The court recommended a P80,000 bail for his temporary liberty. He is presently detained at the Sigma Municipal Station.
