Man linked to homicide case shot dead in Maayon

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 40-year-old man who was earlier linked to a homicide case was shot dead Thursday evening at Sitio Lonoy, Barangay Batabat, Maayon, Capiz.
Police Corporal Gerald Dellomos of Maayon police identified the victim as Johnson Conjin Fusin of said place.
Dellomos said one of the motives in the incident could be the victim’s involvement in a killing that happened at Brgy. Carataya, Cuartero, Capiz.
Fusin was a native of Brgy. Carataya, Cuartero but is temporarily staying in Batabat.
Fusin was on his way home from his father-in-law around 10:30 pm when unidentified suspects on board on a Bajaj motorcycle suddenly stopped beside him.
The suspects riddled the victim with bullets then left.
Fusin suffered 11 gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and was declared dead on arrival in a hospital.
The police recovered from the crime scene 11 empty shells of 9mm-caliber ammunition.
