A 40-year-old wanted person was arrested morning of Feb 28, 2022 in Janiuay, Iloilo.
Jeorge Dimas, a resident of Barangay Habana, Nabas, Aklan, was nabbed at his transient home in Bagangay San Pedro, Janiuay.
Corporal Pio Estampador, Janiuay police investigator, said Dimas was accused of rape several years ago.
Members of Janiuay Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division 6, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RMFB-6) served against the suspect an arrest warrant for Criminal Case No. 16-77298.
Before the arrest warrant could be issued, Dimas left Janiuay and nothing was heard of him since then.
It was later learned that he went into hiding in Nabas where he met his wife. They eventually settled there.
Estampador said he recently went back to Janiuay to reportedly settle some things. He even decided not to stay with his family and rented a separate home.
The suspect is now detained.
