Based on police investigation, the minor and another friend were sweeping the floor inside the teenager’s house when the victim arrived and reportedly asked the minor to get his stepfather’s firearm.
As the minor was about to hand over the firearm to the victim, he allegedly unintentionally pulled the trigger, causing the firearm to discharge accidentally.
The victim was hit in the forehead and was taken to South Bacolod General Hospital, where he passed away around 2:14 a.m. the following day, according to the police.
The minor was turned over to the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) for proper disposition, while the firearm is in the custody of the evidence custodian.
