The Magnolia Hotshots Chicken Timplados have parted ways with veteran center Rafi Reavis ahead of the 50th season of the Philippine Basketball Association.
In an Instagram post published on Aug. 16, 2025, the team paid tribute to Reavis through an emotional farewell video.
“16 years together, you and I,” Magnolia posted.
“We are grateful to have learned from you and to have been part of your life. You will always be a part of ours.”
Reavis first joined Magnolia in 2009 after being traded by Barangay Ginebra San Miguel during the off-season.
He immediately made an impact, anchoring the team’s defense with his length and basketball IQ.
After several playoff heartbreaks, Reavis captured his first title with Magnolia in the 2009–2010 PBA Philippine Cup.
That win sparked a championship culture that led to Magnolia’s rare grand slam during the 2013–2014 season.
Reavis was a key part of that historic run, alongside James Yap, Mark Barroca, Marc Pingris, Joe Devance, Ian Sangalang, and Peter Simon.
Since being drafted by the Coca-Cola Tigers in 2002, Reavis has become one of the most decorated active players in the league with 11 championships.
“We wish you all the best and we are very much excited for you as you take on the next chapter of your career,” Magnolia added.
