Letran juniors’ skipper Emman Anabo commits to Adamson

Another crafty guard from the NCAA just committed to the Adamson Soaring Falcons’ college basketball program.

Emman Anabo, the team captain of the newly-crowned NCAA juniors’ hoops Colegio de San Juan de Letran high school team, will be playing under the belt of head coach Nash Racela in the UAAP men’s basketball tournament.

The recent development was announced last May 3, 2023, after Anabo met with Adamson’s top officials including head coach Racela.

“Emman can really help us because of his size at the guard position and he is a knockdown shooter,” said Racela.

During his stint as the leader of Letan, Anabo was a well-known knockdown shooter and was also one of the team’s top defensive dogs.

A three-and-D specialist, Anabo is expected to perform right away for the Soaring Falcons who still has superstar Jerom Lastimosa playing for one more year.

Anabo finished his season with the Squires with an average of 8.33 points and 4.25 rebounds per game as a senior member of Letran.

Aside from Anabo, Dwight Ramos’ brother, Eli, and Matthew Montebon already secured their transfer to Adamson.

Tasked to lead the team to another post-season run aside from Lastimosa are Joem Sabandal, Joshua Yerro, and Jhon Calisay.

Adamson had a Cinderella run last UAAP season after barging into the Final Four but failed to make it to the championship stage as UP and Ateneo staged a grand finals rematch.
