Lebron James passes Kobe Bryant in NBA’s all-time scoring

Lebron James made history after splitting two Philadelphia defenders for a sweet layup, passing one of his fiercest rivals in the sport.

Racking up his 33,644 career points in his 17^th season, King James surpassed “The Greatest Laker of all time,” Kobe Bryant, as the 3^rd NBA player with the most points in the league.

The crowd in Philadelphia then began to rise to their feet after the next timeout to pay respect to James’ recent achievement.

Despite the loss against the 76ers, James reflected on his career and was overwhelmed with his recent accomplishment, stating how he idolized Bryant way back in his younger years and his desire to follow in the footsteps of the NBA legend.

“He had zero flaws offensively. Zero. He can shoot the jump shot, he can shoot the fadeaway, he can post, he can make free throws, he’s just immortal offensively. He was immortal offensively because of his skill set and his work ethic,” said James.

James’ current status puts him behind Karl Malone who sits in the second spot with 36,928 points and another Laker legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 38,387 points as the NBA’s best scorer.
