ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A lady driver and her three passengers survived after their Toyota Fortuner accidentally plowed two telecommunication poles in the national highway at Barangay Codingle, Dumarao, Capiz Saturday morning, Feb. 19, 2022.
Police identified the driver as Kate Pauleen Genodia, 26, of Tagbak, Jaro, Iloilo City.
PSMS Ronald Bacum, traffic investigator of Dumarao MPS, said the car was on its way from Iloilo City to Buruanga, Aklan for an outing when the incident happened.
Genodia purportedly lost control of the car while navigating a curve.
The car hit the poles of two telecom companies. An owner-type jeep that was parked along the highway was hit by the fallen post.
The incident affected the communication signals of the two telecom companies.
Meanwhile, Genodia and her three other passengers suffered minor injuries in different parts of their bodies.
