Former Mavs Phenomenal Basketball superstar Kyt Jimenez continues to shine on the professional basketball stage and made his win sweeter after making history in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).
After steering Sarangani to a 125-74 win against Mindoro, the internet sensation tallied the league’s first-ever quadruple-double after finishing with 33 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, and 11 steals.
Jimenez was just unconscious from the shooting field at the start of the ball game and was locked in against Mindoro.
After hitting his first two three-pointers, Jimenez smelled blood and kept on racking the points built from 11 shots made from the field out of his 23 attempts.
While firing from all cylinders, the former University of Perpetual Help System also did the little things which led to his historical game.
Jimenez stayed until the third-minute mark of the final quarter to reach such an achievement. After tallying his 10th steal with 3:59 remaining in the game, the combo guard was able to find his teammate in the fast break to complete the quadruple-double.
It was all Sarangani in the game as Jimenez and his all-star cast had everything going for them and protected their double-digit lead until the final buzzer.
Former FEU Tamaraw shooter Paul Sanga backstopped Jimenez with 25 points built from seven made shots in downtown.
Also productive during the big-time win was Danny Marilao who became Sarangani’s do it all guy with 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
Jimenez’s quadruple-double helped Sarangani improve to 15 wins and five losses while Mindoro failed to grab their second win of the tournament and fell to 1-20.
