Commissioner Benjamin M. Mendillo Jr., of the Commission on the Filipino Language, giving his keynote speech at the launching of Project Signd at Rockwell Business Center last 23 April 2024 at Ortigas, Pasay City. The said project is sponsored by the USAID through the Gerry Roxas Foundation. The Commissioner’s speech focused on the importance of FSL in the educational and private sectors to be responsive allies in advocating Filipino Sign Language and calling for action for inclusive education for Climate Change. The said program has been attended by the Executives of the Gerry Roxas Foundation, Executive Director Rodel Lasco, Rebecca Paz, USAID Rogers, and the presence of various stakeholders including the Philippine Federation of the Deaf in unison with the CFL in promoting FSL for inclusivity in Climate Change.
