Sparkle artist Kim Perez’s latest single under GMA Playlist, “‘Wag Nang Mangamba,” feels like a quiet conversation between friends – a gentle lullaby designed to provide solace to listeners navigating anxiety and worry.
According to Kim, he finds the preparation for this single similar to being an actor, “As an actor, you have to show and let the audience feel the emotions you are giving. As a singer, internalizing the lyrics is my priority because I want to deliver every line with the kind of sincerity that listeners can truly feel.”
The singer-actor worked hard to ensure that each line of the lyrics was meticulously interpreted. His goal was to move beyond simple singing and delivery and reach a level of genuine emotional resonance that would speak directly to the heart of the Kapuso listeners.
Grateful to GMA Playlist for the creative freedom to explore this new sound, Kim hopes the track serves as a gentle reminder for the listeners to pause, breathe, and find peace amidst their restless thoughts. He also expressed his interest in exploring other genres such as hip-hop and rap during his singing career.
“‘Wag Nang Mangamba” is now available on major streaming platforms worldwide.
