Kemba Walker nears NBA comeback after Dallas negotiations revealed

Will Kemba Walker finally make his highly-anticipated NBA return?

According to multiple reports, the former NBA All-Star and national team point guard will be rendering his services to the Dallas Mavericks and is set to form the newest 1-2 punch in the league with Luka Doncic.

The development was first reported by veteran sports writer Marc Stein who revealed that the Mavericks will be acquiring Walker once the contract details will be finalized.

After Stein, another reliable NBA insider in Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Dallas is planning to bring in Walker to add more depth in their backcourt.

Walker was one of the most explosive point guards during his time with the Charlotte Hornets after getting drafted ninth overall during the 2011 NBA Rookie Draft.

The Uconn Huskies legend was quick to introduce himself in the big boys’ league and was one of the most creative scorers despite his size.

After his stint with Charlotte, Walker signed with the Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, and the New York Knicks before getting waived by the Detroit Pistons before the 2022 NBA season was about to begin.

Walker is yet to make an NBA appearance after failing to reach any contract agreements with all the teams aside from the Pistons.

The former NBA mythical team member will join a struggling Dallas squad that is currently in 11^th place in the Western Conference.

After 19 games played, the Mavericks held a disappointing 9-10 win-loss record despite monster numbers from Doncic on a consistent basis.

The Mavericks will be needing three victories to get back to the Western Conference’s top eight and is only two games behind the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Utah Jazz.
