You all know the drill.
If it’s Trauma Room hoops season, it’s poetry in motion.
And it’s that time of the Iloilo basketball calendar again: another year, another new Trauma Room conference.
On May 5, 2026, the highly sought-after Trauma Room Season 5 tournament officially began its first conference of the year at The Warehouse basketball gym in Molo, Iloilo City.
“This season is not just about competition, but of communities, camaraderie, and creativity,” said Trauma Room Season 5 commissioner Kirby Palacios.
Aside from presenting a sports platform to various organizations, one of the league’s main aims is to connect, build bridges, and form bonds with young entrepreneurs and professionals.
Presented by ILLCITY, 10 Iloilo-based business organizations and brands accepted the challenge of claiming this season’s King of the Court trophy.
Headlining the official list of this season’s participants are ILLCITY, CVV Wheels, Lubim Ta Films, Fueled Wings, Ma. Victoria Homes, Avescor Motors Inc., Astral Hardware, Double L Car Trading, Red Hammer Construction, and Porkhub.
Seeking a championship repeat and another Trauma Room golden chip is CVV Wheels, the league’s last conference king.
After the short opening program, a doubleheader immediately highlighted the first day, with ILLCITY going up against Avescor Motors, while Lubim Ta Films squared off against CVV Wheels.
In the first game, Avescor Motors got the better of ILLCITY, 77-72, with Robby Baticos earning Best Player of the Game honors after stuffing the stat sheet with 17 points, five assists, and four rebounds.
The last scheduled game featured a masterclass from Lubim Ta Films as it spoiled CVV Wheels’ title defense campaign with a massive 85-62 win.
Ronnie Pateño was a walking bucket for Lubim Ta Films, catching fire and torching CVV Wheels all game long for 41 big points built on nine 3-pointers.
“We give brands and organizations a platform to create an image on and off the basketball court. Wishing all the teams a safe, exciting, and successful tournament,” Palacios added.
