History has been made.
After joining a few months ago with a bunch of passionate football players in the Philam Life 7’s Football League, the rookie team Kaya FC Women cruised all the way to the finals.
Led by veteran coach Let Dimzon, she already said at the start of the season that despite being first-timers in the 7-a-side format, the girls are up to the challenge and they can reach a good finish.
That finish proved to be all the way, as they reached the pinnacle of the league after a comeback win against the Manila Nomads in the semifinals 3-2.
Down 0-2, the Kaya FC squad pulled all the tricks they had in their sleeves including unorthodox plays that stunned and surprised the Nomads.
Also, the Kaya defense started to click after their first conversion, shooting up their momentum and gained a much-needed boost in confidence to turn things around in their favor.
