KAYA FC-Iloilo prevailed against Stallion FC-Laguna, 1-0, in the Philippine Football League, on July 13, 2019, at the Biñan Football Stadium.
Laguna suffered its second straight loss of the season in the hands of Iloilo.
Tight lanes prevented Kaya from scoring, with Stallion’s defense superb at controlling penetrations and clogging up the perimeter as fast as they could.
Stallion’s defense seemed to be efficient, but at the 31st minute mark, Kaya FC forward Darryl Roberts broke free and struck a goal into Stallion’s hearts.
Familiar with how Kaya handed their first defeat in the PFL last May 29, 2019, the Stallions looked to bounce back and doubled their efforts up but Kaya emerged as the better team once again.
The final score was 1-0 as both teams didn’t score at the second half.
Kaya FC will look to continue their winning ways on July 20, 2019 against Global FC Makati.
