KAYA FC-Iloilo routed the Philippine Air Force FC, 5-0, in the Philippines Football League on August 11, 2019.
The Iloilo squad were efficient on offense as they obliterated the Air Force’s defenses scoring all 5 of their goals in the first half alone.
Jordan Mintah scored the two opening goals for Kaya then the game was blown wide open very fast as Masanari Omura, Connor Tacagni and Jayson Panhay contributed 3 more, sealing the first half with an insuring lead.
As the second half started, Kaya continued slicing through the opposing defense but failed to cash in on numerous wide-open attempts, sparing the Air Force team of further embarrassment.
The last 3 minutes of the match were marred with physical play, bringing tension to the pitch as several Kaya players went down due to the aggressive defense displayed by Air Force.
Fortunately, no player was injured despite the tackles and elbows between the players. As the match ended both teams still came to each other and gave their sign of respect.
