With hopes of leading the Ateneo Lady Eagles to another championship run, pro-player and centerpiece Kat Tolentino is returning for Season 82 of the UAAP women’s volleyball.
With still one more year of eligibility, Tolentino decided to turn pro and continue her stint with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). Kat has had a change of heart though and has announced to return to Ateneo.
“Well, initially I thought that because I graduated college and won the championship it was time for me to move on to the next chapter of my life. So I just felt like I wanted to experience something different and start to play in the commercial league to make the most out of my volleyball career.” Tolentino said.
But her stint with the Flying Titans in the pro league was also the reason for her return in the UAAP.
Her exposure in the pro league was one of the reasons for her maturity that helped her in her decision making.
With Tolentino’s announcement, she is looking forward to notch back-to-back titles with the Lady Eagles with Jhoana Maraguinot also expressing her interest in coming back for Ateneo.
