THE STI-West Negros University (STI-WNU) made a crippling run late in the last captured the title in the 2019 National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Bacolod Leg after beating Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) in the do-or-die Game 3, 80-73, last Jan. 8
Aldave Canoy exploded with 25 points as he carried STI-WNU to victory.
He got good support from teammates Bon Brix Balontong and Austine Laureno who wrapped up the tournament with 17 points each.
The Junior Mustang earned the right to represent Bacolod in the NBTC Regional Tournament and expected to face winners from Iloilo, Guimaras, Capiz, Aklan, and Antique.
