JoyRide, the country’s leading mobility app, has launched its driver onboarding program in Western Visayas ahead of the official rollout of its JoyRide Car and Taxi Cab services in Iloilo City.
The expansion marks a key milestone in JoyRide’s mission to provide safe, convenient, and reliable transport not just in Metro Manila but across the Philippines.
From Oct. 15 to 19, the company hosted an on-site application and assessment event at GT Hotel Iloilo, where numerous aspiring drivers submitted their requirements to join the JoyRide platform.
“This move is part of our broader goal to empower the Pilipinong Masipag while enhancing commuter mobility in key cities outside the capital,” said Menard Umali, JoyRide’s senior vice president for business development.
“One of the major benefits of joining JoyRide is the PHP 4,000 initial top-up for new drivers,” Umali said in a statement.
“This can be used for their first bookings or fuel expenses, so they can start earning without having to shell out from their own pockets — a truly hassle-free start to their journey with us.”
He added that JoyRide charges only a 10% commission, significantly lower than other ride-hailing platforms, allowing drivers to keep a fairer share of their earnings.
In addition to in-person registration, applicants may also apply by downloading the JoyRide Driver app and tapping “Apply now,” through the pre-registration link (https://bit.ly/JoyRideCarPreReg), or by visiting the JoyRide Superapp Facebook page.
As JoyRide prepares for its official launch in Iloilo City, anticipation is rising among local drivers eager to be part of the platform’s regional expansion.
For more updates, the public may visit JoyRide Superapp on Facebook or download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
