In celebration of the Yuletide season, the Iloilo City Government is searching for captivating photos that represent the city’s sense of joy and steadfastness despite the CoronaVirus Disease (Covid-19).
The photos must be taken within Iloilo City from Nov. 16-30, 2020.
The photographs must focus on the theme: “Christmas in the City of Love.”
This search aims to encourage the Ilonggos whose visual creativity can capture hope, peace, and love amid the pandemic and to explore the beauty of the place and the resilience of its people in these trying times.
To enhance artistic and photography skills, the contest is open to all Ilonggos in the city and province of Iloilo, professional or amateur, and student or novice photographers.
Pictures should depict any of the four themes: tourism and destination; culture, people and history; customs and tradition; and food and local products.
Contestants must post their photo entries with caption on Facebook, and must use the hashtags #ChristmasintheCityofLove, #IloiloCityGovernment, and #UswagIloilo. They should also email the high resolution file of at least 2mb to infoiloilocity@gmail.com.
The first prize winner will receive P10,000 while the winning entry will be published and utilized for the city’s tourism and publicity projects in the future.
Announcement of winners will be on Dec. 4, 2020 via the official Facebook page of the Iloilo City Government @iloilocitygov. (Iloilo City PIO)
