James De Los Santos is not showing signs of slowing down and is even hungrier than he was before.
The Filipino virtual kata pride is doing all that it takes to take over that world no.1 spot from Eduardo Garcia of Portugal after winning the Okinawa E-Tournament World Series #1.
De Los Santos showed his mastery in the virtual kata craft and again outlasted several big names in the sport during the tourney.
To clinch the gold medal, De Los Santos had to go through Domont Matias Moreno of Switzerland, one of the most popular athletes in the sport after edging him in the finals, 25.26-24.6.
De Los Santos had to go through Nejc Strenisa of Slovenia, Alfredo Bustamante of USA, and Silvio Cerone-Biagioni of South Africa in the elimination rounds before punching his ticket against Moreno.
“I’m just really happy with my latest gold. The number 1 spot is just really near. I’m almost there,” said the 13-time E-Kata gold medalist.
